The Links at Moncks Landing barn is by far my most favourite barn. I love the stonework. The story goes it was built of wood, then blew down in a windstorm and the owners at that commissioned a local stone mason Ed Valentine to rebuild it from stones from the local quarry. It 1930 there was an earthquake in the area and the barn withstood it. The rock was 2 feet think and chiselled by hand to fit in place, as well as a flying-buttress roof which was rare for any buildings in Canada.

I will be photographing this barn again once I have a bit more time. There is so much detail and rooms it was hard to photograph them all in one day.
